I’m pretty damn hype with this line-up.
I’m completely shocked at MK9 making it back, but at the same time, the…
I was surprised when I saw MK9 on the list as well, but as you said the community has kept strong so this is a well deserved reward for their loyalty to the game.
I’m interested in SFxT, but still want to see how the game will fair competitively. The controversial gem system that’s got everyone having second thoughts about the game could pose a bit of a problem, but it’s been mentioned that it’s possible to turn the Gems off. I shouldn’t be surprised to see this game on the list since it’s a Capcom game though.
The other games come at no surprise, except maybe the addition of King of Fighters XII and the exclusion of Blazblue. To me it seemed liked the Blazblue scene had died down a bit, and I didn’t see much of an uproar after the latest title update so I guess it’s within reason. I am however pleasantly surprised to see that KOF made the cut. KOF is a series that hasn’t been in the spotlight for some time, and with KOF XII having not been well received, you can kind of understand why. Still, it’s great to see that this game his gained popularity and that it will finally be played at EVO this year. Admittedly I’ve never really owned a KOF game, but have always had an interest in the series. I’ve only played the demo for Garou Mark of Wolves on the Xbox live arcade but really enjoyed playing it.
